Feeling the heat

You hold a point. It gets hot. Then the body does the rest. What actually happens in a Body Electronics session, and why you need a salad before it.

Body Electronics is a system of sustained point holding, developed by Dr. John Whitman Ray and largely influenced by Kahuna (Hawaiian shamanism) teaching. The idea is that suppressed experiences — emotions, memories, sensations that were never fully processed — get stored in the body at a genetic level, forming what Ray called "crystals" in the DNA coils. These crystals distort the body's normal electrical function. Point holding dissolves them.

I trained in it through Peter Aziz's Ultimate Healing course, which combines Body Electronics with Candali attunements and other empowerments. And for three weeks on retreat in Peru, where we held each other's points all day long and got to ask Peter lots of questions.

The technique itself is deceptively simple: you place your hands on specific points on the body and hold. That's it. No movement, no sequence of positions, no channeling. Just sustained, focused pressure on a point, and you wait.

What happens is not subtle. The point gets very hot — that's the stage where the stored material breaks down. Then it shifts to a pulsing sensation — that's the body rebuilding. The person receiving it often experiences a release of emotion or memory that they weren't aware was there. Sometimes it's something from years ago. Sometimes it's something from before they can remember. The body keeps the score, and the point holding gives it a way to let go.

It's the most targeted thing I offer. If Reiki is the structured path and shamanic work is the open field, Body Electronics is a single, sustained pressure on one specific knot. It's holding a point and waiting for the body to do what it does when you stop resisting what's stored there. If it's in person, I hold it. If it's remote, it's similar. You're holding the point and I'm applying the heat through the field, as well as helping to clear and support your process verbally and non-verbally.

Before a session, I'll typically use iridology — reading the iris to identify which organs or systems are carrying the most stored material — to find where to start. Then I hold. For remote sessions I ask you to send a photograph of each eye and I do the assessment in advance. The map is very detailed and is its own insightful form of diagnosis. This helps choose which points to work on first.

I have seen many powerful changes happen in point holding sessions. The work gets done at a depth comparable to plant medicine ceremonies, because you're going through layer after layer of emotional debris. I've seen people who haven't been able to grieve deep childhood wounds suddenly burst into tears. Lots of realisations and shifts in perspective that come from it, and physical shifts as well. Vertebrae sliding into place, facial bones reshaping, and stuck old joint injuries healing.

The other powerful thing is the educational element of the process. Through tracking what's going on, you learn to understand how the body's natural healing energies work, and this changes not just how you relate to your emotions, but how you relate to life. I help support you through that process.

All this needs to be fuelled with good nutrition. That's why, for at least three days before a session, a raw diet with certain supplements is needed. Without them, you don't get the heat. I've seen the difference very noticeably. Someone was tired, had no heat, went and had a salad, and suddenly we could work again.

If you want the whole field worked, my Reiki sessions are the broader brush. If you want the open, "I don't know what's going to happen" element, shamanic sessions are the other direction. Body Electronics is the middle: specific, sustained, and the body does most of the work. You just have to be willing to feel what comes up.
