Why I don't do predictions

My client Jess (name changed) was feeling stuck in her life. As a freelancer with private clients, she'd been exposed to some boundary-pushing situations as well, and her whole life was reflecting her own sense of not being 'worth more' than what she currently had. When I tuned into guidance for her the main word I kept hearing was 'elevate'. I could see what was going on. This slow-to-build crisis was creating the pressure for her to up-level her whole reality. In practical terms, the advice I received for her was all around setting boundaries, joining a reputable centre so she wasn’t so exposed to difficult clients, and those kinds of directions. I could also sense there was a whole lot more to 'elevate' than that.

A few months later she came back to me. She was thinking of travelling. I tuned in again. Oh yes. Visions of many countries came through. That was the reading where she needed permission to leave and a vision of what was possible. I gave to her, not because I have any authority but because I was able to help her find her own inner permission. A few months later she connected with me again, now in transit as part of her soul wandering journey, on her way to climb Kilimanjaro. Without realising it she was taking 'elevation' to literal heights.

Guidance reflects intention

The guidance I receive often works like this. It's there in the way you need it to be there in the moment. It's rooted in wisdom and understanding of the future far beyond what I'm personally capable of. It comes through from your own Higher Self and your guides for your highest benefit, and for the highest benefit of all involved. Why? Because that's the intention I always set for the work.

So what comes through isn't a prison sentence which is what a fixed future that 'has' to happen would be — it's indicative. It's: if you stay with this person, here's what that's going to look like versus if you leave. It's: here's what living in this city would be like versus that one. It's: here's a nudge in the direction of what would fulfill you, not here's what you should do with your life.

Not outcome, resonance

Often in my own life and for others as well, what I get is a feeling of resonance, or magnetism, or familiarity around something that has significance. Could be future or past. A place that carries potency, a relationship that holds certain keys. When I sense this for a client I know it's very likely that that situation will come up for them. I can feel in my bones when it's aligned with their path. But how they choose to engage with it once it shows up is up to them. It's still open to change in any moment, thankfully. We may not have perfect freedom, but we do have some agency in this life.

Timings

Timings can also be hard to pin down for this reason. Many outcomes are dependent on certain soul lessons being achieved, milestones being reached, planetary configurations, factors happening on a cosmic level, other people's readiness and a whole lot more besides. It's complex and things are always in flux. I might feel the energy of someone coming into your life, and a general sense of whether it's weeks, months, years, or decades, but that's often as much as I'm given. But then other times, I get given it very exactly. "Next Thursday" just pops into my head. I guess that's when there's a specific reason why that needs to be shared. I'm not in control of that. I'm just the messenger.

In the firing line

I used to be much more cautious around what I'd say to people and when. I was worried they might not be able to handle the truth, and that I'd need to manage their emotions around what I was receiving. Now I'm much less so. These days I just plainly name what I'm seeing as well as what I'm not being shown without apology. I trust in your own wisdom — both that of your Higher Self in sharing it, and your everyday self for coming to me and for knowing how to use the information to navigate your life. To do anything different would be patronising — and interfering out of my own fears rather than out of what's useful for you. That's just messy. So I give it straight.

So, if you want to ask about the future, ask. I'll tell you what I see. But I'll tell you what it is — a likely direction, not a fixed script — and you can decide what to do with it.
