Why you haven't met your person yet

One of the most common topics I look at for people in my psychic or tarot readings is around love. And for people who're looking in relationship, a reading can offer some really helpful guidance, but not in the way you might think.

Especially through the apps I read for, the clients that come through are often new to psychic readings and genuinely sick of being alone. Totally fair. They want to know if I can tell them when their person will come into their life, what they're like, and if it will be happy ever after. And they want the answer to be "Tomorrow. Twin flame. And yes – a full Disney ending." That's not a judgement, it's something we all carry in our psyche from years of conditioning all the way from Aladdin through to Jennifer Aniston. We all hold it in different ways. But without them intending to, they're placing a tough ask on me, their guides, spirit, and even themselves. Here’s why.

Personal blocks

It's a tough message to deliver but often the reason someone hasn't come in yet is unconscious resistance. We all have competing priorities and values whether we're conscious of them or not. A part of us wants love, connection and intimacy, another part wants freedom, independence, and the safety of not being vulnerable. The truth is, for someone who hasn't reconciled whatever that is, even if their Brad Pitt was to walk through the door tomorrow, they wouldn't be ready for it. There's a wisdom in the timing of things that's coming from somewhere deeper. What I do is I help to identify the underlying friction points so that you can see where different parts of you have different needs, and work to bring those into alignment. That opens up the path for love again.

Life path

Another reason you might not have met someone is that love would get in the way. You might have other things your soul is looking to do first. Build that business. Spiritual growth. Healing. All kinds of things. This, again, is where the context you gain in a reading is helpful. It may not summon your person out of thin air, but it helps you understand the bigger picture of your life and that can take the sense of urgency out of it all.

Relationship patterns

Loneliness can be a symptom of a pattern shift that's already underway. That might be due to life circumstances – loss, moving home, difficulties at work – or it might be to do with your astrological transits. Whatever it is, your Higher Self is working on you to heal past wounds, and the discomfort can be a marker of that. Here again, I'm able to go in and spot what that pattern shift is and help you understand what's going on.

What's missing

When something vital is missing in your life it feels like emptiness. The go-to answer we come up with is "oh I need my person," but often that's not the actual answer. Rather than worrying about them, I'm often guided to show people where what they actually need isn't in place, and how they can go about filling the gap. So, no, it’s not about giving you a date, enabling your habit of wondering about what your ex is doing, or selling you a false promise around your ‘ta-da’ romantic moment.

And sure, I might get some insights here and there around what's coming down the line, but that's not the point. Loneliness isn't punishment. It's where the other stuff gets done. A love reading is a way into so much more than just a fairy tale.
